NASAENG BASKET is a project by Roi-Et Rajabhat University created to support local community by helping them create more income to the family. In this project, the university helps develop the community’s woven bags from Nasaeng Village, adding more value and turning them into marketable products.
THE JOURNEY
They need us to build brand identity and make it product labels for Nasaeng woven bags. We began by exploring what makes this community unique. From the identity of Nasaeng, we developed the core identity of the brand. We drew inspiration from the official colour of Roi-Et province, its provincial flower, its traditional musical instrument, and Phra That Nasaeng, a sacred landmark and spiritual center of the local people.
These elements were transformed into small icons, and we used purple — Roi-Et’s provincial colour — as the main brand colour, derived from the Inthanin(Queen’s Crape Myrtle), the provincial flower. In the end, the result felt just right — a true visual identity for Nasaeng Subdistrict: easy to understand, easy to relate to, and pleasantly modern.
